Bioderma, Nuxe, Vichy - Micellar water offerings du jour

I love the whole concept of micellar waters and how easy and convenient they are to use. In a nutshell micellar waters are cleansers that require no rinsing, one stop shop deal :).
Most of you will agree that wearing makeup is quite fun, however, removing it is not so much. Especially when it comes to eye-makeup. I am big mascara enthusiast so I always need heavy duty makeup remover to do the job. Removal process was always tedious especially at the end of the long day. Who wants to spend half an hour removing your makeup when all you want to do is go to bed. As the result I have committed one of the worst skincare offences: going back to bed with full face of makeup, on several occasions. I know, I judge myself for doing that.
That was before, my lovely sister introduced me to Bioderma Sensibio H2O (angels singing!!!). Bioderma Sensibio H2O is a star product. One of the best micellar waters on the market. It feels and looks like a simple water. It removes all the makeup, including eye makeup and leaves no residue at all. And guess what, you don't even need to rinse your face you  canjust roll over and go to sleep!
Even if you don't wear any makeup you can simply use Bioderma as your cleanser. It has no smell, doesn't irritate your skin, doesn't strip it of natural oils and doesn't dry it oBiodermaut.
Differently from old school makeup removers that mostly smudge your makeup and make you look raccoon faced, it simply removes everything and does not leave any oily residue that needs half a bottle facial cleanser soap to remove.
Bioderma retails for over $20. Price point is quite high in North America, however, in Europe it is dirt cheap so stock up next time you visit.

Honourable mentions go to Vichy and Nuxe micellar waters that are also excellent. Both perform great at cleansing and removing makeup, however, differently from Bioderma they are scented. They both have very pleasant floral scents. One thing I will mention they both seem to leave a barely there tacky residue on the skin you might not even notice, but if you are picky like me you might ;). Price point is the same as Bioderma.

Loser, don't ever buy, award of micellar waters goes toSimple cleansing water. It is hands down the most horrible facial cleansing item I have ever purchased. It does not do any cleansing and if you get it in your eyes it stings like crazy.

See by Chloé - 5 seconds of joy

My love for perfume has a lot to do with my mom. She always wears perfume and it is something we have in common. Whenever I smell Yves Saint Laurent's Opium, my mom's signature scent, it always make me think of her ;).
I want to be like my mom so I am always on the mission to find my signature scent, however, I am pretty sure I have commitment issues when it comes to perfume. My lovely sister thinks I suffer from perfume obsession.
In my quest for the next best perfume I acquired See by Chloé. I coveted it for almost 1 year before I decided to bring it home. Every time I passed by Sephora or any department store with perfume counters I would spray myself into oblivion with this scent.
To make long story short, I bought it and our conscious lifelong coupling did not work out. Don't get me wrong it is a lovely scent that last exactly 5 seconds and after it is just gone forever.

Just because we didn't  work out I still didn't give up and  sprayed it every time I saw the bottle. I don't think anyone smelled it but I am not too disappointed. Very weak lasting power aside bottle is simply elegant and chic with retro flair.
Chloé describes the scent as Feminine, irresistible, spontaneous. With notes of bergamot, apple blossom, jasmine, ylang-ylang, vanilla, musk and sandalwood.

If you like very subtle and soft scent you might actually like Chloé, as for me I am back on my quest for my signature scent or scents ;).
