Alien Eau Extraordinaire - Thierry Mugler's new scent extraordinaire

My newest addition to my, at the moment, very contained perfume collection is this beauty named Alien Eau Extraordinaire.

Now little bit  of context when it comes to Thierry Mugler. When one hears the name everyone immediately thinks of Angel. Everyone and anyone has heard of it and at some point even owned it, including myself. It is the  quintessential love-hate perfume, some adoring it and others simply despising it. I am quite fond of it, however, it is probably the most easily identifiable scent out there, you can tell from a mile away when someone is wearing Angel. Once a bus driver complemented me on wearing it and I was sitting quite far from him. When it comes to Angel, I thin it is best worn mixed with other scents so you can create your own Angelic mix.

Angel aside Mugler's second best known scent offering is Alien. Housed in beautiful purple alien figure bottle, it is a wonderful woody, strong, memorable  and quite complex scent. If you are a fan on Jasmine and Amber based perfumes it will be a definite hit with you.  I have toyed with an idea of acquiring this perfume for a while, but slightly modified Alien Eau Extraordinaire won me over instantly.

It was love from the first whiff! It is very distinct but at the same time light and airy scent. It does not overwhelm you and even if you get spray happy like me it will not cause nauseating migraines for you or ones around you.

The biggest difference with the original Alien is the switch of Jasmine for Bergamot that makes it fresher and lighter. Since I have owned this perfume I got stopped at least over 5 times by gentlemen asking me what was it that I was wearing. You

can tell this scent is a definite hit with the male population ;).
